Australian Grand Dairy Awards


On 10th February 2011, Bulla Premium Sour Cream was honoured with the 2011 Australian Grand Dairy Award (AGDA) for Champion Cream.

 

Chief judge for the AGDA, Neil Willman has said that “This award is testament to Bulla Dairy Foods. This sour cream is of exceptional quality, with its thick, smooth texture and refreshing flavour.

 

Judged by an independent panel of expert judges, the awards are testament to Bulla Dairy Food’s dedication and commitment to producing top quality, dairy products, with the AGDA renowned for recognising only the ‘best of the best’ in the Australian dairy industry.

 

The Australian Grand Dairy Award gold and royal blue medals assist consumers to identify the ‘best of the best’ and represents quality and good taste in Australia’s world class dairy products.

Bulla was awarded with the highest scoring Non- Cheddar Cheese for the Original Cottage Cheese 200g and Gherkin Cottage Cheese 200g. In total, Bulla was awarded two gold medals and 48 silver medals in total. Well done!

Crème Fraîche


New Bulla Crème Fraîche was launched 1st March 2011 in conjunction with the endorsement of George Calombaris.

 

Bulla Crème Fraîche has a rich, mildly tangy taste with a smooth, velvety texture. Less tart than sour cream and non-curdling, it is perfect for sweet and savoury dishes.

 

Crème Fraîche makes a suitable topping for fresh berries and other desserts and can be used in cooking applications replacing standard cream as well as sour cream.

 

It could be considered the most flexible and multipurpose cream available because it can be heated, dolloped or baked.

 

Whether you add it to soups or salads, cakes, puddings or potatoes, crème fraîche is a versatile dairy product which adds a smooth depth of flavour to recipes.

Bulla Dairy Foods launches their new 10kg (2 x 5kg) Deli-Style Yogurt

As the name suggests, the Bulla Deli Style Yogurt is presented in 2 x 5kg bladders packed inside a cardboard box for maximum convenience and minimum waste.

 

Bulla Deli-Style Yogurt is set to take the place of Bulla’s Sweet Greek Style Yogurt.  The new Bulla Deli Style Yogurt has a delicious sweet flavour and thick, creamy texture which is more in line with consumer preferences for this style of yogurt, and we’re sure it will be an instant hit with your customers and theirs.

Bulla Extends Thick & Fruity Yogurt Range

With the great success of the original Thick & Fruity Yogurts, Bulla has announced a variety of new products.  


We have added three new flavours to the original 170g range: Berry Cheesecake, Blueberry Burst & Lemon Meringue Pie.


There are two new multipacks featuring 4 x 170g cups.  They are available in 2 x Mango Magic & 2 x Tropical Treat and 2 x Strawberry Sensation & 2 x Berry Bliss.  


Bulla is also offering the flavours of Mango Magic, Berry Bliss & Passionfruit Rush in 500g tubs.


Bulla’s innovation team has been hard at work developing their latest concept, Thick & Fruity Fruit Duo’s.   Thick & Fruity Fruit Duo's, the newest addition to the Thick & Fruity line, are a unique yogurt innovation with one delicious fruit flavour through the yogurt and another in a fruity swirl.  This physical combination of flavours delivers a unique taste experience.  Thick & Fruity Fruit Duo’s are packaged in a 170g cup and are available in 5 delicious flavours:

Bulla Dairy Foods wins 2 awards at AGDA 2010

Bulla Dairy Foods is one of the leaders in the Dairy Categories at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards (AGDA) held at Carousel, Albert Park on February 3rd, taking home two out of the ten Dairy Champion titles. In a boon for the Colac and Warrnambool regions, Bulla’s smooth, creamy and 99% fat free Apricot Fruit ‘n’ Yogurt Drink was named Champion Yoghurt Dairy Drink, while Bulla’s fresh, high quality Pure Cream was awarded the tile of Champion Cream. The awards are testament to Bulla Dairy Food’s dedication and commitment to producing top quality, dairy products, with the AGDA renowned for recognising only the ‘best of the best’ in the Australian dairy industry.

“I am pleased that a wholly Australian owned company picked up two Champion awards,” Neil Willman, Chief Judge for the AGDA said. “Their Apricot Fruit ‘n’ Yogurt entry displayed a smooth and creamy texture and natural apricot flavour that stood out from its competitors, and Bulla’s signature Pure Cream retained its fresh and full flavour that has seen it win Champion Cream for the second time. This is indicative of the high quality of the Pure Cream product,” Mr Willman added.

Bulla Wins Champion Yoghurt

Bulla Dairy Foods are proud to announce Bulla’s Fruit’n Yogurt Apricot 200g was awarded the major award of Champion Yoghurt at the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards 2009 presentation on Tuesday 22nd September.

 

The Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards incorporate four sections including Dairy, and present a unique opportunity for all manufacturers - from the commercial giants to the small boutiques - to benchmark their products.

 

Bulla entered products into three categories within the Dairy Produce Section – Yoghurt, Cream and Ice Cream – with all products entered receiving awards.

 

Within the yoghurt category – which includes natural set, gourmet, everyday and drinking yoghurt – a total of 46 entries were received from a range of manufacturers including Dairy Farmers, Mundella Foods and National Foods.  Bulla received a total of 16 awards, with the new Bulla Thick & Fruity Yogurt receiving a silver medal.

 

Bulla Ice Cream also achieved excellent results receiving an award for every product entered and a total of 6 gold awards within the ice cream category – which includes tubs, sticklines, premium, novelties and frozen yoghurt – from a participating field of 147 entries.

 

Exhibits receiving a Gold medal in the Dairy Produce Section qualify to enter the Australian Grand Dairy Awards, which take place 22-25 March 2010
